1. Essential Qualification

  • Must have completed 10+2 (preferably with Science) from a recognized Board of School Education.
  • Must be a qualified ‘A’ Grade Nurse (holding a Diploma in GNM) OR possess a B.Sc. Nursing degree from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Must fulfill requirements as per the R&P Rules of Staff Nurse.

2. Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing across the state.

Mode of Selection & Evaluation Matrix (Total: 30 Marks)

The selection will not involve a written examination. Instead, the final merit list will be drawn purely on an evaluation basis in accordance with the parameters devised by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment (vide letter No. SJE-B-B(15)03/2014 dated 28.08.2017).
Marks will be awarded by the selection committee based on the following 30-mark criteria:

  1. Essential Qualification Weightage (Max 10 Marks): Marks obtained in the prescribed essential educational qualification divided by 10.
  2. Maximum Disability Weightage (Max 6 Marks):
  • 40% to 59% disability = 2 Marks
  • 60% to 79% disability = 4 Marks
  • 80% to 100% disability = 6 Marks
  1. Maximum Additional Qualification Weightage (Max 4 Marks): Percentage of marks obtained in higher qualifications divided by 25.
  2. Backward Area Panchayat (1 Mark): Belonging to a notified Backward Area or Panchayat (Issued/countersigned by Naib Tehsildar).
  3. Landless Family (1 Mark): Family having land less than 1 Hectare (Certified by the concerned Revenue Authority).
  4. Non-Employment Certificate (1 Mark): Certificate proving no family member is in Government/Semi-Government service (Issued/countersigned by Naib Tehsildar).
  5. BPL Family (2 Marks): Families with an annual income below Rs. 40,000/- (Certificates issued by Panchayat Secretary/Pradhan/BDO, subject to a valid income certificate issued/countersigned by Naib Tehsildar or above).
  6. Widow/Divorced/Destitute/Single Woman (1 Mark): Relevant certificate issued by Naib Tehsildar.
  7. Single Daughter/Orphan (1 Mark): Relevant certificate issued by Naib Tehsildar.
  8. Specialized Training (1 Mark): At least 6 months of training related to the post applied for from a recognized University/Institution.
  9. Experience (Max 2 Marks): Up to a maximum of 5 years in a Govt./Semi-Govt. organization relating to the post (0.4 marks for each completed year).
