Detailed Eligibility Criteria

1. Chief Medical Officer (Post Code: 001)

• Qualifications: MBBS (with compulsory rotating internship), PG Diploma in Medicine, or MD/MS in a relevant discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of service experience in a relevant field at Pay Level 12 or equivalent.

2. Project Engineer & Estate Officer / Executive Engineer (Post Code: 002)

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. A Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is desirable.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as Engineer/Assistant Engineer (in PB-3 GP 5400) in CPWD, State PWD, PSUs, or Government/Autonomous Institutes.

3. Medical Officer (Post Code: 003)

• Qualifications: MBBS (with internship) + 1 year of experience in a recognized hospital OR PG Diploma in Medicine + 1 year of hospital experience OR MD/MS in a relevant branch of Medicine.

4. Technical Officer – Digital & Computing Services (Post Code: 004)

• Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc. (CSE/IT)/MCA with 5 years of experience OR M.Tech (CSE/IT) with 1 year of experience (with first class or equivalent 6.5/10 CGPA).
• Internal Option: Technical Superintendents serving at IIT Mandi for at least 5 years at Pay Level 7 or higher.

5. Junior Superintendent (Post Code: 005)

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (minimum 55% marks) with 8 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree (minimum 55% marks) with 5 years of experience.
• Skills: Knowledge of computer applications, office procedures, and secretarial rules in central government or academic administrative setups.

6. Junior Library Information Assistant (Post Code: 006)

• Qualifications: Diploma in Library Science from a recognized University.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in library operations or computerization of a library.

Important Rules & Guidelines

• Age Relaxation: Standard relaxations apply (5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL). Upper age limit is relaxable up to 50 years for regular IIT employees or candidates who have served at least 3 years at IIT Mandi on a temporary/contractual/project basis.
• Certificates: OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be issued on or after April 1, 2026, following prescribed DoPT formats.
• In-Service Candidates: Applicants working in Government, Semi-Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies must present a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) or apply through proper channels.
