Educational Qualification & Experience

1. Para Cook

• Basic Education: Passed Matriculation (Class 10th) from a recognized school/institution located within Himachal Pradesh (this condition is waived for Bonafide Himachali candidates).
• Technical Skill / Experience: Degree or Diploma in any trade from a government-recognized Hotel Management or Food Production Institute OR a minimum of 5 years of practical cooking/catering experience from any recognized government or private establishment.

2. Para Helper

• Basic Education: Matriculation (Class 10th) pass from a recognized Board/University approved by the H.P. State Government or Central Government.

General Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must fulfill the following parameters:

• Must be a citizen of India and a Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Must be a permanent resident under the jurisdiction of Jal Shakti Circle Kullu (covering District Kullu & Sub-Division Lahul under District L&S).
• Must be of sound mind and medically fit to discharge operational duties.
• No family member of the applicant should currently be employed in any Government, PSU, or Semi-Government Board job.
• Clean record with no involvement in any criminal proceedings.

Documents Required with Application

All applications must be submitted on the prescribed format along with self-attested copies of the following certificates:

1. Matriculation Certificate: For age proof and academic qualification verification.
2. Technical / Experience Certificate: Hotel Management diploma/degree or 5-year cooking experience certificate (mandatory for Para Cook).
3. Bonafide Himachali Certificate.
4. Non-Employment Certificate: Stating that no family member is employed in any Govt/PSU/Board post.
5. Character Certificate: Indicating no criminal background.
6. BPL Certificate: Issued not earlier than 6 months (if applicable).
7. Medical Fitness Certificate: Issued within the last 6 months.

Selection Process & How to Apply

1. Submission: Duly filled application forms along with all self-attested supporting documents must be sent or submitted by hand to the Office of the Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division Kullu, H.P.
2. Deadline: The application must reach the department between 22-09-2026 and 13-10-2026 (by 5:00 PM). Applications received after the deadline or submitted incomplete will be rejected summarily.
3. Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates will be notified separately regarding the schedule and venue for the practical/skill test after initial document scrutiny. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the test.
