Educational Qualifications For Pashu Mitra :
Essential: The candidate should have a minimum qualification of Matric (10th) from a School/Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. The condition of passing 10th from Himachali School shall not be applicable to Bonafide Himachali.
Desirable: Knowledge of Animal Husbandry activities.Knowledge of custom, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
Eligibility For Pashu Mitra Bharti :
Following Shall be eligibility criteria for engagement of “Pashu Mitra”
- Normal/Neighboring resident of Gram Panchayat/Urban Local Body falling in the Jurisdiction of concerned Veterinary Institution.
- Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
- Able bodied, physically fit and having a sound mind.
- Should be of sound character
Age Criteria For Pashu Mitra Bharti :
The Candidate should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age as on the last date of receipt of applications.
Selection Process of Pashu Mitra Bharti:
Stage -1 Physical Test :
The candidate should be able to carry 25 Kg of weight up to 100 meters within one minute.
Stage -2 Documentation :

| Preference for Practical Experience in Animal husbandry : To be decided on the basisi of certificate as per Annexure-B. Maximum of 4.5 marks will be alloted if applicant or any member of his family (As per Parivar Register) owns : i) Tagged/registered large Animal(s)- Cow/Buffalo =4.5 ii) Horse/Mule; or Poultry Farm of more than 100 birds = 3.5 iii) Tagged Small Animal(s) – Sheep/ Goat; or Poultry Unit of not less than 30 birds =2.5 Untagged Large/Small Animals/Poultry Birds =01 | 4.5 |
| Preference for permanent resident of the Gram Panchayat : (Subject to Maximum Marks-1) to be decided as per copy of Pariwar Register of the Gram Panchayat/ULB as under : i) Permanent resident of Gram Pancyayat/ULB where the engagement is being done =01 ii) Any Gram Panchayat sharing boundary with Gram Panchayat/ULB where the engagement is being done : 0.5 iii) Any Other Gram Panchayat | 01 |

Salary for Pashu Mitra :
The selected incumbent will be paid honorarium at the rate of Rs. 5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) per month for working as part time (04 hours a day) Multi Task Worker
