Syllabus for the post of Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) – HPPSC Shimla

Selection Process :

1. Screening / Preliminary Exam.
2. Personality Test.

Syllabus :

There will be an objective type screening test of one paper consisting of 100 questions for two hours duration:-

• 80 questions of multiple choice of BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) level.
• 10 Questions consisting of General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh.
• 10 Questions consisting of National and International affairs.

Educational Qualifications :

Full Time Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline/ M. Tech. (Mechanical)/ Post Graduate Diploma in Hydro Power Plant Engineering from a recognized University / Institute of India with least 55%marks in case of SC/ST/ Internal (HPPCL) candidates and 60% Marks in case of other categories.
Note :-
(i) For internal candidate AMIE in relevant Engineering discipline will be considered as recognized qualification. However, only those candidates who are enrolled for AMIE with the Institute of Engineers (India) Kolkata with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.
(ii) Relaxation of 02% in qualification is admissible to all those candidates who have successfully completed Apprenticeship Training in HPPCL.
