HP Pashu Mitra Recruitment in District Mandi – Download Application Form – Applications from desirous candidates on the prescribed Performa are invited for filling up 67 posts of Multi Task Worker (Pashu Mitra) to be filled up against vacant posts in various Veterinary Institutions of District Mandi H.P. in Animal Husbandry Department on honorarium basis of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) per month for working as part time ((04 hours (Four hours) a day)). The applications should reach in the office of Senior Veterinary Officer (SVO) of the respective Sub Divisional Veterinary Hospital where the Pashu Mittra is proposed to be engaged, as per Annexure-D, on or before 31st January 2026 by 3 PM positively.

General Eligibility :
- Normal/ neighbouring resident of Gram Panchayat/Urban Local Bodies falling in the Jurisdiction of concerned Veterinary Institution where Pashu Mittra is proposed to be engaged.
- Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh
- Able bodied, physically fit and having a sound mind.
- Should be of sound character
Essential Qualification :
The candidate should have a minimum qualification of Matric (10th) from any School/Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. The condition of passing 10th from Himachal School shall not be applicable to Bonafide Himachali.
Desirable Qualification :
Knowledge of Animal Husbandry Activities & Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
Age Limit :
The Candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age as on the last date of receipt of application i.e. 31st January 2026.
Eligibility Criteria –
| Stage-1 | Physical Test: -The candidate will have to undergo physical test The candidate should be able to carry 25 Kg. weight up to 100 meters within one minute. Schedule containing dates, venue and time for holding physical test will be will be intimated separately. Candidates who will qualify/clear the Physical Test will be called for next counselling |
| Stage-2 | Preparation of Merit list: As per para-No.-8, the Pashu Mitra Engagement Committee (PMEC) will prepare panel of 5 candidates on Merit Basis for each institution, who will be called for document verification with the original at the time of counselling prior to engagement. The Dates/schedule of same will be intimated separately. |

Selection Process of Pashu Mitra Bharti:
Stage -1 Physical Test :
The candidate should be able to carry 25 Kg of weight up to 100 meters within one minute.
Stage -2 Documentation :

Maximum of 4.5 marks will be alloted if applicant or any member of his family (As per Parivar Register) owns : i) Tagged/registered large Animal(s)- Cow/Buffalo =4.5 ii) Horse/Mule; or Poultry Farm of more than 100 birds = 3.5 iii) Tagged Small Animal(s) – Sheep/ Goat; or Poultry Unit of not less than 30 birds =2.5 Untagged Large/Small Animals/Poultry Birds =01 | 4.5 |
