Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Shimla invited online applications from desirous and eligible candidates for recruitment to 08 post of ASSISTANT ENGINEER (EXECUTIVE TRAINEE- ELECTRICAL) at E-2 level (on contract basis) in Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited under the Department of MPP and POWER. Salary :

Pay band : Rs. 16650-39100+Rs. 5800/- Grade Pay
Consolidated fixed contractual amount of Rs.31,150/- per month

Essential Qualifications :

Full time B.E./B.Tech. (Electrical) or B.E./B.Tech. (Electrical and Electronics)/M.Tech.(Electrical)/Post Graduate Diploma in Hydro Power Plant engineering from a recognized University/ Institute of India with at least 55% marks in case of SC/ST/internal (HPPCL) candidates and 60% marks in case of other categories.
Note:-
(i) For internal candidate AMIE in relevant Engineering discipline will be considered as recognized qualification. However, only those candidates who are enrolled for AMIE with the Institute of Engineers (India) Kolkata with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.
(ii) Relaxation of 2% in qualification is admissible to all those candidates who have successfully completed Apprenticeship Training in HPPCL.

Desirable Qualification

knowledge of customs, manner and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Age Limit :

Between 18 years to 30 years.

Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/ PH & other categories in upper age limit is as per HP Govt. Instructions. For Govt. employees of HP., there is no age relaxation. For internal candidates of HPPCL there is no age bar.
Note:-
(i) Relaxation of 05 years in upper age limit is admissible to candidates belonging to Project Affected Families, as per provision under Clause 36.3 of Direct Recruitment Procedure Manual of HPPCL.
(ii) Relaxation of 02 years in age is admissible to all those candidates who have successfully completed Apprenticeship Training in HPPCL.
Age of a candidate shall be reckoned as on 01.01.2021.

Examination Fee :

General Category/EWS {including General Physically Disabled, i.e. Orthopedically disabled, Deaf & Dumb, Hearing impaired/ W.F.F. of HP/ Ex- Servicemen of HP relieved from defence Services on their own request before completion of normal tenure, General wards of Ex-SM of H.P., i.e. Dependent sons, of Ex-SM of H.P. and candidates of other states (including reserved category candidates of other states)} = Rs. 400/-
S.C. of H.P. /S.T. of H.P. /O.B.C. of H.P./ EWS (Covered under BPL)/(including S.C. /S.T. /O.B.C. Ex.-Servicemen of H.P. relieved from Defence Services on their own requests before completion of normal tenure and SC/ ST/ OBC wards of Ex-SM of H.P., i.e. Dependent sons of Ex-SM of H.P.) = Rs. 100/-
Ex-Servicemen of H.P. (Ex-Servicemen, who are relieved from Defence Services after completion of normal tenure)/ Blind/Visually Impaired of H.P./Female Candidates. = No Fee

Personality Test

SYLLABUS:-

There will be an objective type screening test of one paper consisting of 100 questions for two hours duration:-

“80 questions of multiple choice of BE/B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) level, 10 Questions consisting of General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh and 10 Questions consisting of National and International affairs.”
