How to check the HPU BEd Entrance Exam Result 2023

Visit the official website www.hpuniv.nic.in of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU).
Look for the “Admissions” or “Examination” section on the website.
Find the link or notification related to the B.Ed Entrance Result 2023.
Follow the link to get to the search results page.
Put in your username, password, and any identifying information.
Submit the required information.
The HPU B.Ed Entrance Result 2023 will be displayed on the screen.
Check your result, which may include your overall score, rank, and other relevant details.

HPU B.Ed Entrance Exam Qualifying Marks

Candidates who want to pursue a B.Ed. at Himachal Pradesh University must get the required minimum passing score. They won’t be eligible to enroll in the B.Ed program if they don’t get the required minimum grades. However, only those applicants who are able to get the minimum required marks in the HPU entrance exam will be given the chance to enroll in the next 2-year B.Ed program. For applicants in the general category, the minimum passing or qualifying mark is 35% or 53 out of 150. For the remaining applicants, it is 30%, or 45 out of 150, which represents the remainder.

Duration (Time Frame) of B.Ed. Course:

The B.Ed. programme through regular mode shall be of a minimum period of two academic years (spread across four semesters) and a maximum of three academic years from the date of admission of the candidate. There shall be at least 100 working days in each semester exclusive of the period of examinations and admissions with 600 teaching clock hours (each working day having 6 teaching clock hours).

The minimum attendance of students shall be 80% for Theory Courses and Practicum and 90% for Field Attachments/School Internship/Practice Teaching and no relaxation will be permissible.

Reservation Roster for Bonafide Candidates of H.P.

(i) The admissions of the candidates of Bonafide of Himachal Pradesh under 85% seats to B.Ed. course in all the Institutions/Colleges will be made strictly in order of merit of the entrance test. The reservation roster of the Government of Himachal Pradesh shall be applicable for admission to B.Ed. Course in the different categories as approved by Government of Himachal.
(ii) 85% seats in the B.Ed. Course are reserved for Bonafide Himachali candidates and 15% seats are reserved for the students of other States as per the Orders of the Hon‟ble Supreme Court of India (Civil Appeal No.4641 of 2007).

Counselling And Admission Procedure :

After declaration of the merit of the entrance test, the counselling schedule and procedure including detailed guidelines for conducting online counselling will be notified separately by the Chairman, Department of Education, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla-5. The said schedule and procedure vis-a-vis detailed guidelines of online counselling will be made available on the University website www.hpuniv.ac.in or www.admissions.hpushimla.in. Therefore, the qualified candidates must remain in touch continuously with the counselling schedule and process.

Required Documents at the Time of Counselling :

The following original certificates/documents as well as their photocopies must be brought by the candidates at the time of counselling/admission:-

a) Print out of online application form.
b) Bonafide/Domicile certificate issued by the Tehsildar/Executive Magistrate of the area concerned.
c) The candidates belonging to other than H.P. State shall also bring Bonafide/domicile certificate of their state issued by the Tehsildar/Executive Magistrate of the area concerned.
d) Claim consideration certificate for admission under any of the Reserved Categories. (The certificate should be the latest and signed by the competent authority as mentioned in the ‘Clause 5.1 (viii)’except SC/ST Bonafide Certificate), the OBC certificate should be issued by the competent authority within one year.
e) Plus 2 Certificate or equivalent.
f) BA/ B.Sc./ B.Com. (Part I, II & III)/ MA/ M.Sc./ M.com./ Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent examination certificates alongwith degree in the concerned capacity.
g) Character certificate from the Institution last attended in case of candidates having no gap in their education. However, the candidates who have gap(s) of one or more years in their education should bring latest character certificate from the Tehsildar/SDM of the Area Concerned.
h) Admit Card downloaded from the website of the University for B.Ed. Entrance Test 2023.
i) Certificate being Single Girl Child from the Tehsildar/SDM of the area concerned.
j) A counselling fee of Rs.200/-( in cash non-refundable) shall be deposited at the time of counselling by the candidate.
